Kinesiotaping
Regeneration & healing
How does kinesiotaping work?
Kinesiology tape slightly lifts the skin, which stimulates blood circulation in the underlying tissue and supports its healing.
- The tape stabilizes joints locally and relieves pain.
- Through constant pressure, it can relieve overused muscles or stimulate weak muscles.
- The pull of the tape can help correct misalignments.
When can the tape be used?
Kinesiotaping is used for muscle tension, joint problems, sprains, and tendon overuse, for example:
- Sports injuries: support after sprains, muscle strains, or bruises.
- Tension: back, neck, shoulder, or knee pain.
- Tendon inflammation: Achilles tendinitis, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, or shoulder tendinitis.
- Circulatory problems: lymphedema and swelling.
Can I remove the tape myself after application?
Yes, you can easily remove the tape yourself after a few days. I recommend loosening it while showering or in a warm bath, as the adhesive comes off more easily when warmed up.
How long can the tape stay on the skin?
The tape usually stays on the skin for 3 to 5 days before being removed. The full therapeutic effect is usually strongest during the first few days.
